What comes to mind when you think of all things French?
Iconic landmarks.
Charming petite maisons.
Impressive chateaux.
Haute couture.
The certain je ne sais quoi every French woman seems to posses.
Marie Antoinette and her Petit Trianon.
Modern French interior design.
Fresh French cuisine.
Fabulous French Flea Markets.
France means all that and much, much more to Andrea and I. We are truly passionate about not only capturing the essence of the French lifestyle, but authentically living it. This is at times hard to do in a world where much of what is presented as French may well come from China. So here we are, two friends that have come together to share what we love.
We would like to point out that we are by no means experts, only terribly enthusiastic. Andrea lived in Paris and studied the three year course in art history at the Ecole du Louvre. (Yes, that Louvre.) She has a wonderful home in the Burgundy region and I can tell you firsthand the girl has mad culinary skills. I of course eat, sleep and breathe French design, architecture and possess a huge desire to master French in this lifetime. I was blessed to have lived near the Alsace~Lorraine region of France for three years and still dream of moving back. As we prepare for a springtime trip we thought you might enjoy a virtual ride along. So with that we have created Fabulous French Fridays. We will explore and share everything we love about France, every Friday and hope you’ll join us.
What does France and French style mean to you?

Beautiful posting! Love the photos!
Thank-you for sharing! :o)
Laura and Andrea,
France is all those things and so much more ... fragrance, fashion, lavender fields, champagne, pastisserie ...
I love going on this journey with you!
Your Friend,
Deborah
great images and it is true france is wonderful. sadly as i sit here in france the thing that springs to mind is less charming! mad bureaucrary, laziness, blinkered vision, and absolutely no idea of customer service; i can't wait to leave this place!! (oops sorry to be mrs killjoy)...
I'm going to love this feature I just know it! A spring trip, how divine. I will enjoy it through the blog. I had a hard time with the food on my only trip there a few summers ago. I'm a gluten free vegetarian who doesn't like fish. No bread was hard but I do love cheese and fruit/veg so that's what I ate. Was easy to feed myself but restaurants were difficult.
J'adore France! We went to Strasbourg on Tuesday! I'm still planning my big trip to the Paris Flea Market in 2-3 weeks. I can't wait (as long as Han Solo cooperates and I don't have any more contractions). What lovely photos you posted.
although i have never traveled to France, it is "in my blood." My great-great-great (and it goes on and on) grandparents were born there..in Rouen in the 1600's. I long to visit one day and explore that part of my heritage. You always capture all that is "France" and i am very much looking forward to your French friday's!
France to me is someplace I will never get to see in person.
I love looking at all the places you all go to.
I don't think a month in France would be long enough vacation for me to see all the places I have read about.
I want to go to the restaurant where Diane Keaton & Jack Nicklson ate at in the move
Someting Gotta Give
Really I am a scary kat when it comes to traveling abroad buy myself LOL really

Ahh, France and all things French...France is a jewel box, a delight to the eye, a delicious feast, an elegant and fashionable muse, a joy to the soul. Viva la France--je t'aime, je t'aime, je t'aime!!
Lovely photos to depict La France. A friend gave me a card with that same last image.
